One thing I really love when I visit blogs of designers/decorators is taking a house tour! I love to see their taste in fabric, furniture, color palette.. Do they love color or all white? Do they think outside the box and get funky or is it more traditional? I love to be inspired by others! Don't you?!
Well, our house is currently on the market. Our realtor provided a stager that came in & basically just had me take down/remove the items in my home that were personal to me and the way I decorate. She gave me huge compliments on my style and decorating and lifted my confidence so much {like I might actually know what I'm doing! She even said so! haha... (I mean, com'mon... she is a REAL, ACCREDITED interior designer/decorator!!)
So today I thought I'd share my {professional} house tour with you! Keep in mind.... It's definitely staged! Over half my over-decorating-personal-picts is gone. And I must say... I'm shocked at how much I am beginning to like it! At first it felt soo naked in my house! Kind of like leaving your house without your jewelry. *gasp!* But I'm thinking once there's a contract on the house, I'll be having one heck of a garage sale!
But that's still yet to be determined

Leave me some love.
OH and if you wanna buy my house...
Good news...
IT'S FOR SALE!
hugs,
k.
Your house is beautiful! You are my neighbor (sort of). I live in Stone Oak (where the wag a bag is). Good luck on selling. I bet it won't be on the market for very long.
ReplyDeleteOh that's so cool! :) And THANK YOU!! I really hope it sells soon! We got places to go and people to see! haha.

ReplyDeleteGood luck selling your house! Our real estate hated me because our house was a complete fixer upper and with a fourteen month old and another due in two months, I was NOT fixing anything.
ReplyDeleteI was stunned after I finished the ‘tour’! :D The real challenge in staging is designing the house using little of your personal preference. I must say that you did an extraordinary job – the house looks fabulous inside and out! Hope you were able to sell the house already, Kristy.
ReplyDeleteAww.. Thank you Ofelia!! I was so hoping for that exact response! But can you believe NO, we've NOT sold yet?!? It's the crazies thing (God's timing). This week has been especially active and we're ELATED!! Hoping {praying} for an offer SOOOOONNNNN!!!!
DeleteReally, Kristy? How about now? Have you sold the house yet? But the house was staged in a very marketable manner. In that case, the problem might lie in where you’ve had it advertised. Maybe it wasn’t targeting the right market or the house wasn’t being prioritized. Good luck, anyway!
ReplyDeleteHAPPILY... we are under contract!!! Woohoo!!! Just was bad timing in the market. :)
